Our Story
For years, we (Luke & Hazel) have travelled across Australia and South East Asia - camping from our car, chasing turquoise coastlines and learning how little you actually need when you’re truly living. But one thing we noticed everywhere we went? Bulky, boring towels that took up too much space in our bags and never really practically kept up with our journey.
We wanted something different.
Something lighter, softer and intentionally designed.
Something that looked as good as it felt.
Something that fit the lifestyle we were living.
During our travels, we found ourselves drawn to the word “Malu” - Hawaiian for peace & protection. It captured exactly what those long days on the road gave us: moments of complete serenity.
We feel that word encapsulates the heart of Malloo.
On a later stretch of our travels, we discovered traditional Turkish peshtemal towels - woven by artisans who have perfected their craft over generations. Lightweight, quick-drying, timeless and made to last. We knew it was perfect.
So we created Malloo: a small, traveller-run business making towels with intention - designed by people who live the lifestyle, for others who are choosing to live it too.

Where are Malloo towels made?
Each Malloo towel is ethically crafted in Türkiye using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations. We work closely with small producers who share our values of quality, sustainability, and attention to detail.
Is this towel suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our towels are made from 100% natural Turkish cotton with no harsh dyes or synthetics. They’re gentle on skin and ideal for daily use, even for those with sensitivities.
How do I care for my towel?
Machine wash in cold or warm water with similar colours. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they can affect absorbency. Air dry when possible or tumble dry on low heat. With proper care, your towel will last for years.
What if I change my mind after ordering?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, as long as the towel is unused and unwashed. Contact hello@malloobrand.com with your order number, and we’ll guide you through the return process.
